I keep seeing people frame this as a technical problem to solve but it's really a threat model question. If you can't articulate specifically what you're protecting yourself from and who the adversary is, no combination of tools is going to give you a meaningful answer - you'll just keep changing configs forever looking for a feeling of security that the tools can't actually provide
