RuneScape: Dragonwilds leads September's PlayStation Plus Extra lineup
Sony has confirmed the full PS Plus Extra and Premium game catalog for September 2026, and it's headlined by RuneScape: Dragonwilds — the survival-craft spin-off that marks the first time the 25-year-old RuneScape franchise has appeared on console. The game already sold over one million copies on Steam Early Access before its PS5 launch, per the Jagex Press Release. If you're a PS Plus Extra or Premium subscriber, it's included at no extra cost from day one.
The lineup
Eight titles join PS Plus Extra on September 15, according to the PlayStation.Blog Official announcement:
- RuneScape: Dragonwilds (PS5) - WWE 2K26 (PS5) - Ball X Pit (PS5) - Date Everything (PS5) - Slitterhead (PS4, PS5) - Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound (PS4, PS5) - Dungeons of Hinterberg (PS4, PS5) - Sniper Elite: Resistance (PS4, PS5)
Premium subscribers also get two Classics additions: Mega Man X Command Mission and Metro Redux — the latter bundles Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light remasters, a solid pickup ahead of the Metro 2039 console launch expected in 2027.
The catch for US and UK players
Not everything lands on September 15 if you're in the US or UK. Ball X Pit arrives September 22, and Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound — the critically praised 2D side-scroller developed by Game Kitchen and published by Dotemu — doesn't arrive until September 29. Players in most of Europe and the rest of the world get all eight Extra titles on September 15 with no delay.
WWE 2K26, which launched in March 2026 with a roster of over 400 wrestlers (the largest in series history), lands on day one. It's a strong value at launch, though annual sports sims tend to feel dated quickly once the next entry is announced.
What's leaving
September 15 also brings removals. Notable departures include Persona 5 Tactica, plus the full Shadowrun trilogy and both Toy Story games. If any of those are on your backlog, you have until the 15th.
