Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is heading to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027, Czech developer Warhorse Studios confirmed during the Nintendo Direct on September 9, 2026. The port arrives as a Royal Edition, meaning buyers get the complete package — base game plus every piece of additional content — at a $59.99 / £53.99 SRP. For anyone who skipped the game on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X/S when it launched in February 2025, this is a second chance to play one of last year's most praised RPGs on a handheld.

The Royal Edition bundles in all three story expansions: Brushes with Death, Legacy of the Forge, and Mysteria Ecclesiae, alongside exclusive in-game gear and a bonus questline, according to the Games Press official announcement. That's meaningful value — on other platforms, DLC is sold separately on top of a $69.99 base price. Switch 2 players get everything in one box at a lower entry point.
A port with a track record
Warhorse already proved the Kingdom Come series can survive a Nintendo port. The first game landed on the original Switch in March 2024 and held up well despite the hardware's limitations — no small feat for an open-world RPG that taxes far more powerful machines. The sequel is a bigger, more demanding game, and no performance targets (frame rate, resolution) have been disclosed yet. That's worth watching when reviews arrive, but the studio has earned some trust here.
Game Informer gave KCD2 a 9.5/10 at launch, and the game had shipped four million units globally by November 2025. A Switch 2 version opens the title to a new audience — players who prefer handheld or don't own a current-gen home console.

Warhorse and publisher Deep Silver haven't pinned down an exact release date beyond "2027." Pre-order details and retail availability are not confirmed yet. The original Switch version is backward compatible on Switch 2, so anyone already in the series can carry their saves and library forward. For newcomers, the Royal Edition looks like a solid way in — assuming the port delivers the performance it's promising.
